You can enter the ICCP at any level from Highschool to the Principal level.  So you can “ladder up” to the next level as your career progresses.  Take a look at the five levels we have for each of the certification pathways that we offer.  See where your competencies lie and what position you hold now or want to hold in the future.

You can be sure that our certification signals to you and others, you are keeping current in the industry, are knowledgeable in your specific area, and are ethical in all of your business dealings.

How to Certify

1. Identify your certifications

Look through the certifications (found here XX). Decide which one and which level you are interested in pursuing. Check to see that you meet all of the requirements and what the exams and/or workshops you will be doing.

2.Apply for Membership

Submit Membership application (found here), resume and candidate membership fee ($45) to office2@iccp.org.

Recieve notification that your Membership application has been accepted. 

3. Prepare for your exams

Study materials are available to help brush up on the exam materials.  Options are available from; Tutor-led courses, Self-study, Official examination guides,  Exam cram on-site, and  Exam training on-site.

4.Sign-up to take your exams

There are 2 ways to sign-up to take the exam.

1.Give us a call at 1.800.843.8227.

2. At a conference ICCP sponsors.

To take ICCP exams on-line, candidates must have a computer with high-speed internet, a webcam, and audio capabilities.

5.Maintain skills & knowledge

Each certificate requires continuing education hours – this helps to keep current on today’s latest industry knowledge.  In addition an annual fee is collected*.   *See your specific credential for more information.

6.Grow your skills portfolio

Explore and access additional study materials and new examinations at a low Member cost to extend your portfolio of skills. 

Certify throughout your career

with certification pathways you can follow - from a High school graduate to an Executive

Certifications are geared towards someone who has more than 5+ years of experience in the industry. An executive level certification can help you to reach the top levels of Management.  

Certifications are geared towards someone who has more than 4+ years of experience in the industry. An executive level certification can help you to reach the top levels of Management.  

Certificates are for the professional who has more than 3 years of experience in the industry.  Now that you’re moving up the ladder – a mastery certification can show others your expertise in a certain area. 

Associate/Practitioner certifications are geared towards the person just starting their career.  You can make your mark by letting others know you are serious about the information workforce.

Foundation certifications are geared towards the High School graduate.  The certification allows you to stand out from the crowd by showing your capabilities in the information workforce at a young age.
